A year ago, I wouldn’t have been able to push, much less lift a feed bag. For years, my doctors told me that I wouldn’t and shouldn’t be lifting anything heavy. That I wouldn’t be able to and that it would be much too painful. Now, lifting several 50lb bags of feed and carrying them 100ft from the house to the chicken barn has become an easy task. This farm has done what doctors, different medications, and physical therapy couldn’t do in years. I have become stronger and have been able to push past the pain. I still have some bad days but they don’t seem as bad anymore. It feels great to be independent and tell the guys at tractor supply that I don’t need help lifting anything or help to my car. Hell I’ve even done it in heels. Nick doesn’t even ask to help me anymore. Not because he doesn’t want to but because he know the joy and pride I take in finally being able to do this on my own. #stronger #thriving #screwcancer #chiarimalformation #fibromyalgia #farmlife #farmerlady #terrell #dfw #dallas #loveourlife #chickenlady
